English below<br>-------------<br><br>Tricalcar (Tejiendo redes inalámbricas comunitarias para América Latina y el Caribe), iniciativa conjunta de APC y varios de sus miembros y socios, ofrece 28 becas de entrenamiento técnico para un taller que se realizará en el Valle Huaral de Perú, del 16 al 21 de julio de 2007. Para este primer taller se reciben solicitudes de la región andina (Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú y Bolivia). Están previstos dos talleres más para las regiones del Cono Sur y Centroamérica y el Caribe, respectivamente. La convocatoria está abierta hasta el 18 de mayo.
<br><br>La beca cubrirá sus gastos de viaje (pasajes aéreos, visas, impuestos de salida y traslados), alimentación y estadía durante los días del evento. <br><br>El proyecto busca promover el fortalecimiento de una red de emprendedores/as en el tema de redes inalámbricas comunitarias, en la que se asegure una representación incluyente tanto geográficamente como de género, por lo que las postulaciones de mujeres serán especialmente bienvenidas. </a><br><br>-------------------------------------------------------------------- <br><br>TRICALCAR: Call for technical training scholarships for community based wireless networks deployment in the Andean region <br><br>Applications are now being accepted until May 18 for technical training scholarships for community based wireless networks for the first workshop of the TRICALCAR project that will be held in Huaral, Peru from July 16 to 21, 2007.
<br><br>A rigorous selection process will allow 28 participants to be awarded during this first of three regional workshops. For this first workshop we expect to receive applications from Colombia, Peru, Venezuela and Bolivia, which will be awarded with a scholarship that will cover travel expenses (air tickets, visas, airport taxes, transportation), meals and accommodation throughout the days of the workshop.
<br><br>This project seeks to strengthen the emerging network of local community-based wireless champions, one which ensures both adequate geographical and gender representation, for this reason applications from women will be especially welcomed.
