Dear members of the press,
My name is Kelly Loverock, communications associate with APC. I’m
writing because we are interested in your feedback on a short survey to
help improve the quality of information we provide to the media. Your
input will be of great help to the work that APC is doing.
I have included five brief questions below, or if you’d prefer I can
give you a call (my skype id is kloverock). We’ve tried to keep the
survey short out of respect for your busy schedule.
*SURVEY QUESTIONS*
1. What are three main things you look for on an organisation’s website
when writing a story? (Feel free to include urls of websites you think
are good press-friendly examples)
2. Do you use media sections or “press room” sections on NGO websites?
If yes, in what way?
3. What makes you read a press release?
4. What are two things that would compel you to cover a particular story
on information and communication technology (ICT)?
5. How useful do you find background information and fact sheets when
covering a story?
Thanks for your time,
Kelly Loverock
