Dear public library fans in our Dynamic Coalition,

Just now EIFL www.eifl.net has published its first call for stories of innovative public library services that improve the economic well being of individuals and communities in developing and transition countries.

And EIFL is innovative too in trying to overcome the language barriers: applications are accepted in four languages – English, Russian, French and Spanish! Furthermore, to encourage greater participation, libraries also have the opportunity to tell their stories in their own language through video.
For full details of this award, click here: English, French, Spanish, Russian.

PLEASE publicise this news widely in your network. We want to find the innovators. And then showcase them to inspire others.

And more to come: Over the next 12 months EIFL will call for stories in three more key development areas: improving community health, promoting social inclusion, and open government.

Fingers crossed for great participation.

All the best
Monika
