Is anyone on this list going to participate in e-Learning Africa http://www.elearning-africa.com/index.php ?
If you are there, please do join us in our workshop (I believe public libraries are for the first time on the programme of this conference:-)

Friday 25th of May, 11.30 - 13.00
Public Libraries: an e-Learning Space for Young People.
Research in Africa shows that public libraries are valued educational spaces, but are still thought of in terms of print rather than e-learning. 3 speakers from EIFL PLIP projects in Africa (Ghana, Uganda, South Africa) will present their dynamic and innovative ICT-based services: reaching out to youth at risk; building ICT skills, in the library; developing e-learning capacity and providing mobile phone career alerts.

Lets meet in Cotonou and discuss the contribution innovative public libraries can make to educational development!

All the best
Monika
