What is the impact of computers in public places like libraries? How can this impact be measured? And what does it mean for the future of access to technology?

The Global Impact Study<http://www.globalimpactstudy.org/> from the Technology & Social Change Group<http://tascha.uw.edu/> at the University of Washington's iSchool<http://ischool.uw.edu/> is excited to announce that we will be releasing our final research report in March!

The Global Impact Study is the largest, most comprehensive study to date on public access to technology in places like libraries and telecenters. The report is full of findings about public access to computers and the internet, the impacts & benefits of public access, cost-benefit analysis, and policy, practice, & research recommendations that we hope will be of great interest to policy makers, practitioners & library staff, and researchers.
