Dear all,

We wanted to highlight upcoming IGF meetings where public access issues will be on the table.

At the European IGF (EuroDIG<http://www.eurodig.org/>) meeting on 9-10 June, IFLA will be taking part in discussions on internet access for minorities and refugees in particular, through libraries. We are also co-organising a session at the Asia Pacific regional IGF<http://www.aprigf.asia/> (27-29 July) on the right to be forgotten. We plan to call for discussions on public access issues at the Latin American IGF<http://www.lacigf.org/en/lacigf9/index.html> (27-29 July in Costa Rica), and of course the global IGF in Mexico in December. All of these should be an opportunity not only to raise awareness of the Principles, but to move towards an understanding of what different actors can do to make them a reality.

As for other upcoming IGF meetings, those mentioned on the IGF website are below:

*       18 June - Benin

*       11 July - Brazil

*       14 July - US

*       5 October - Austria

*       5 October - Armenia

If you plan to attend any of these (the deadline for the European one is today), do let the group know. Don't hesitate to talk about the Principles, and share any interesting ideas you hear.

Thanks,

Stephen
