[Pal-dc] Upcoming national/regional IGFs, brief on the work of DCs

Dear all,

I wanted to share a couple of quick updates.

First of all, the IGF website has a much improved list of upcoming national and regional IGF meetings<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/nris-2017-annual-meetings#overlay-context=user&overlay=node/4253/edit>. We would encourage DC-PAL members to attend their local ones in order to underline the core role that libraries play in getting and keeping people online, as well as providing the skills and training needed to help people get the best out of the Internet. These seem to be taking place mostly in capitals, unless indicated otherwise. Links to websites are included on the IGF page.

25 April - Panama National IGF
26 April - Finland National IGF
16 May - Belarus National IGF
16 May - Croatia National IGF
16-18 May - Sri Lanka National IGF
17-18 May - Pacific IGF (Vanuatu)
24-25 May - South East Europe Dialogue on Internet Governance (Ohrid, FYR Macedonia)
29-30 May - Switzerland National IGF
6-7 June - EuroDIG (Tallinn, Estonia)
16-16 June - Nepal National IGF
22-23 June - Barbados National IGF
24 July - USA National IGF
26-29 July - Asia-Pacific Regional IGF (Bangkok, Thailand)
2-4 August - Latin America IGF (Panama City, Panama)
16 October - Austria National IGF

Secondly, the IGF Secretariat is coordinating work on a short brief describing the work of Dynamic Coalitions - anyone interested in looking at this should let me know and I can share the link.
