Dear all,

The latest report from the Internet Society<https://www.internetsociety.org/doc/cnafrica>, looking at community networks in Africa may be of interest. This highlights the role of communities in setting up their own networks, and overcoming the challenges of doing so. It notes the importance of public access centres, but also the focus on providing more than just access in order to promote digital literacy and allowing people to take full advantage of the potential of the Internet.

Secondly, IFLA will be represented at EuroDIG (6-7 June, Tallinn, Estonia) and the Asia-Pacific regional Internet Governance Forum (26-29 July, Bangkok). Let us know if you'll also be around!

Thanks,

Stephen
