Dear all,

I hope this email finds you well. If you are planning to be at the 2018 IGF in November, please read along!!

For the upcoming individual sessions, open forums and village boots deadlines (29th of June) I would like to ask you to participate somehow in preparing/organizing a session. I am happy to draft the proposal and to take care of the bureaucratic hurdles but I would appreciate any feedbacks on the content and the format.

I think It would be great to have a session and possibly a open forum and/or a village boot. Any thoughts, experience or preference on these? Last year, we organized a session and it was well received. This year would be nice to replicate the experience by also engaging other DC with similar objectives.

In terms of content, my inclination is the following. We have the document/toolkit I circulated three weeks ago that could be used as the backdrop for the session. We could, however, also include librarians with projects in the field of public access as a supportive evidence for the importance of our coalition in providing access to the next billion of Internet users. We could use stories and experiences from developed and emerging countries alike.

Also, another idea would be to structure the session or forum around the concept of multi-language content vis a vis the dominance of English as you can have access to the internet but the language could represent an important barrier to your participation.

These are my thoughts and I hope to receive some feedbacks from you. If you prefer for me to set a zoom call to discuss these matters, please, let me know.

Best,
Esmeralda
