Following the presentation, the working draft is now in the consultation period until 15 February – so, if you would like to share any feedback, comments or insights, we would be happy to hear from you! We hope that you are enjoying the first days of the 2021 Internet Governance Forum!

Ahead of the annual DC-PAL session this Thursday, we are thrilled to share with you a DC-PAL working draft “Impacts of Public Access in Libraries”! This paper offers an overview of the recent evidence around the impacts of public access in libraries around the world: who are the users of public access? How are these access facilities used – and how do users benefit from both public access to the internet and ICT, and from value-added services it enables? It also offers an overview and examples of various methodologies, both quantitative and quantitative, which have been used to better understand and assess these impacts of public access.
