To the Bureau and Sally,
On behalf of the Africa CS, this is our first list of the African speakers. They concern the opening ceremony and the round tables. As for the Declaration, the various people who have already spoken during previous encounters will decide on who or whos, depending on the number of slots available for Africa.
The incompleted information on speakers will be completed in a day or two.
Best
Olivier

   1.6 Gender: Male
1.7 Reasons nominating this person (500 words):

According to a survey that was done in the United States, Nelson Mandela is the second most recognizable brand mark next to Coke Cola? In the period January to April 2003 Mr Mandela conducted 92 meetings, attended 27 public events. We may not be able to get any other person to speak on human rights with a better experience than Mandela.

Despite officially retiring from public life in 1999, he has continued his compassionate, humanitarian work, taking his tireless fight for peace and human understanding beyond the borders of South Africa.

If old age is that stage in life when your get up and go has got up and gone, then Nelson Mandela hasn’t begun to get old. He is constantly getting up, and going here, there and everywhere, conducting work for his two charities, the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. He’s always kissing babies, shaking hands with sportsmen, smiling at beauty queens and waving at adoring fans. He surely holds the world record for honorary degrees, however, the more honored he is the more humble he becomes. Few people in our time or in any time, have symbolized the spirit of freedom and courage so well as this figure of monumental integrity and humanity.
