For those of you who can receive TV Ontario (public broadcaster in
Canada) on either Satelite or Cable - you might want to tune in on
sunday to the following program....

Diplomatic Immunity with Steve Paikin...

KOFI'S WEB?

Al Gore may have invented it but that doesn't mean he perfected it: The
Internet has revolutionized communications, but with it have come a host
of new issues: The "digital divide" between rich and poor nations,
countries like China restricting Internet access, child pornography
online, and many others. Now some countries want an international
organization, like the UN, to regulate the Internet. Kofi Annan in
charge of the 'Net? Ron Deibert of the Citizen Lab at the University of
Toronto, joins Janice Stein, Richard Gwyn and Patrick Martin to discuss
the many political issues surrounding the World Wide Web. NOTE: This
week only, Diplomatic Immunity airs Friday at midnight and Sunday at
11pm. (Next week DI will return to its normal Friday air time of 11 pm.)
