 Dear All,
As part of the process towards the World Summit on the

Information Society (WSIS) in December, African Youth
Initiative in collabration with its partners are
organising Information and Communication Technology 
(ICT) Essay Competition for the youths in Ghana. It is
opened to young people between the ages of thirteen
(13) to eighteen (18). 
Below are the details:


NATIONAL YOUTH ICT ESSAY COMPETITION

Introduction:
The African Youth Initiative in partnership with the
youth caucus of 
the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and
the Canadian 
government (who is providing the seed funding through
TakingITGlobal 
International) is organising a National Youth ICT
Essay Competition 
as part of the National Youth Information Society
Campaign in Ghana 
tagged "New Academic Year ICT School"
(www.ycdo.net/policy/wsis-
ghana) on the topic:

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY FOR NATIONAL
DEVELOPMENT, 
MERITS AND DEMERITS.


Length of Essay: not more than 300 words
Qualification: young persons between the ages 13 to 18
Deadline: not later than Wednesday 15th October 2003
