Hi,
 I am Rosario, journalist of a ONG, Center of Cultural Freire Luiz, in
Brazil, that works with Communication. It would like to have more
information on the WSIS, as it is being the organization of the countries. I
participated of the preparatory meeting of the Cupola for the aboriginal
peoples of Latin America. It would like to change information. Tk.

Do we have any contact with one of these fundations that you mention?  If we
could make contact and start working on financing people from the south,
could be very good to improve our situation, not only argentine situation,
but for sure, latin american situation, that could only share the 40% of the
fellowships with the rest of countries in development.  That 's not very
good to improve the regional balance at the summit.

Any idea, could someone help us with this? Maybe the "philantropic
institutions family" could tell us how to procedd now,.

Tenemos algún contacto con alguna de esas fundaciones que mencionas? Si
ppudieramos iniciar contactos y comenzar a trabajar en financiación para el
sur, entonces podríamos tratar de mejorar la situación, no sólo para
argentina, sino, y seguramente, para los latinoamericanos en general, que
sólo pueden compartir el 40 % de las becas con el resto de los países en
desarrollo. Con esta distribución será muy dificil lograr un buen balance
regional en la cumbre.

Si alguien tiene ideas, quizás  la familia de instituciones filantrópicas
nos podría decir qué hacer.

Dear Beatriz and others in a similar situation

Your situation is indeed dramatic.
Instead of relying only on the best efforts of the Civil Society Bureau in
Geneva, could the Civil  Society creates a task force to find funding
directly. There is the Philanthropic foundation caucus, could this Caucus
goes beyond the task of representing many Foundations

and try a general call to the many foundation they enlisted.?

There are thousand  very rich US foundations that are reportedly trying to
help any good cause.

Another related issue is to why so few foundations got accredited. I am sure
that accredited Foundations would have been much more keen to provide
financial support.

 Ta situation est en effet dramatique
 Au lieu de se reposer uniquement sur les efforts louables du Bureau  de la
société Civile,  la Société Civile pourrait créer un groupe de travail pour
trouver des fonds directement.  Il y a le Caucus Philanthropique, est ce que
ce caucus pourrait  aller au delà de sa tache de représenter de nombreuses

toutes les nombreuses fondations qui ont  accepté d'être représenté ?

 Il y a des milliers de foundation très riches aux USA qui
 se proclamennt prètes à aider une bonne cause.

 Un autre sujet en relation est pourquoi il y a si peu de fondations  qui se
sont accréditées. Il est certain que des fondations accréditées  auraient
été beaucoup plus tentées d'accorder un soutien financier.

 Esperons que cela sera d'une petite aide

 Tu situacion esta, de facto, dramatica.
 Al lado de se reponer  uniquemente, sobre los effuerzos del bureau  de la
sociedad civil, la sociedad civil se puderia creer un grupo de  trabajo para
buscar fundos directamente.  Esta el caucus Philantropico,
 Fuese bien si esto Caucus podria ir adelante de su trabajo de representar
numeras fondaciones  http://wsis-philantropic.org  y fue a traher una llmada
general a todas las numeras fondaciones  que estan representadas ?

 Estan numeras muy ricas US fondacions que se dican preparadas  a ayadar
cualquera buena causa.

 Un otro subjecto est porque sea un tal poco nombre de fondaciones  que
estan accreditadas.  Es seguro que accreditadas fondaciones
 fuesen mas tentadas de propuestar una ayuda financial.
