[WSIS CS-Plenary] suggestion for WSIS opening speakers

I agree with Adam. All of the comments and input on Ms. Ebadi's participation as speaker were valid and important, especially those voiced by Bill McIver "on whether Ms. Ebadi would be fed with our ideas or use her own."

The idea of the briefing book, (I believe put forth by Karen), was an excellent idea, which would allow Ms. Ebadi to read and enlighten herself as to what we have done as Civil Society at the WSIS, while also putting forth her intellect and ideas, which have contributed to her being bestowed as a Nobel Peace Prize recipient.

If what Amir says is true (and I am sure it is), having Ms. Ebadi as speaker should be perceived as an honor and something that would contribute to the overall goals of Civil Society at the WSIS. I do not see any reason for any further debate, however, Sally Burch raises a good point that perhaps Amir should look into--if in fact Ms. Ebadi is available on Dec. 10th for the WSIS.

Sincerely,
John R. Gagain Jr.
