Nunca hubo traducción al español de las comunicaciones oficiales.
Como sabrás, desde el caucus lac hemos insistido con esto, pero ya sabemos
cuál es la respuesta.
Desde Secretaría Ejecutiva argumentan falta de fondos para traducciones e
interpretación (ya nos ocurrió durante prepcom 3, incluso en la conferencia
de prensa).
El argumento de la falta de fondos también le sirve a la Secretaría
ejecutiva para justificar el uso de archivos .doc adjuntos para enviar
documentación crucial para la participación en la CMSI.
El español ha sido sistemáticamente relegado en esta cumbre mundial que está
hecha para franco y anglo parlantes.

We never had spanish translation in official information. As you know, from
LAC Caucus we insisted with this, but we know the answer.
The argument is that the secretary doesn't have enough funds for
interpreters and translation (the same happened during prepcom 3, also
during the press conference).
The "not enough funds" arguments also helps them justify the using of .doc
formats to send attachments with crucial information for the participants of
WSIS.
Spanish doesn't exist for this World Summit, just prepared for french and
english speakers.

Could someone explain me why lately there are no spanish translations made
anymore of official notes? Alguién podría explicarme porqué no se están
haciendo más traducciones últimamente de notas oficiales?
