Hello
I absolutely agree that content and themes should be represented at the
Tunis meeting. It will be essential to maintain our vision as stated in the
Civil Society Declaration.
C & T have been occupying a seat at the CSB meetings. This was logical and
very important to the process. I think therefore that C&T is in any case,
part of the CSB and has therefore been invited along with the focal points
of other families.
Equally, it will be important for the CSB to ensure that space is
maintained, even improved, for civil society and that it is treated as an
equal partner in the WSIS and beyond process. The Tunis meeting will
inevitably deal with content and process - the two are intertwined.
A number of CSB members will not have the resources to attend this meeting -
I include myself there. The CS Sec. have said the ITU fellowship fund cannot
be used as this is an informal meeting.......but in any case it was less
than adequate and we do need to0 raise this in strong terms at the Tunis
meeting, through our representatives.
Best regards
