[WSIS CS-Plenary] National WSIS websites?

Dear Karen,
I try to promote through african discussion groups
WSIS national Websites and why not organisation of
National preparatory CS Meeting for Tunis Summit.
Can you help by providing equipments, ideas, monney to
be sent directly to African associations in Africa ?
To let you be aware of the extraordinary difficulties
faced in Africa can you imagine to be connected to
something like ADSL or dedicated line you have to pay
in Niger about 2,000 US$/not the year but the month it
means 10 years of basic month salary ! that is yhr
nature of the Digital Divide we as SC have to deal
with evey day .

J'essaie sans grand succès d'aider à la promotion de
tels sites web dans les pays africains traitant du
sommet de Tunis et pourquoi pas préparer des
rencontres nationales de la société civile dans ces
pays pour aider à une participation active et
indépendante de l'Afrique.
Figuerez vous que pour avaoir accès au Niger par
exemple à l'équivalent de l'ADSL ou d'une ligne
spécialisée quans elle peut exister, le coût peut
avoisiner des 2.000 dollars américains soit dix années
de salaires de base quand le m^me service est
disponible en France au 20 ème du salaire de base ! je
vous laisse apprécier la réalité du fossé numérique..
Pouvez vous aider par des équipements, des matériels,
idées et argent à verser directement aux associations
africaines capables de s'impliquer dans pereil défi !
