[WSIS CS-Plenary] DSF cancellation - FSN annulation

Dear Francis,
This is a wonderfull news. The delay or the reshuddled
of the Inaugural Ceremony of the DSF next week in
Geneva, allow us to review priorities of events.
Congratulations if our leaders who was attending
Geneva to officially set up the DSF, weak up and
assess that this DSF is nothing in the middle of
nowhere and they do have more interesting challenge to
deal with such as the situation in Ivory Coast if it
is the case. the Digital divide is only a little
aspect of the development divide and finance mechanism
to reduce the development divide are the main
challenge
What a pitty for the UN TFFM members who decided to
meet in Geneva and to spend a couple of days at the
same time to support the DSF and show what they are
doing. Probably they are working hard.
By the way are they going to meet even if the DSF
meeting has been postponed or are they going to
posponed their own meeting ?

Je rends hommage le plus sérieusement du monde à nos
dirigeants africains s'ils se sont enfin réveillés
pour considérer que la situation en Côte d'Ivoire est
autrement plus importante que la cérémonie de
lancement du FSN. Le vrai problème c'est le fossé dans
les rythmes de développement entre le Nord et le Sud
et le fossé numérique n'en est qu'une simple et mince
expression qui se résoudra obligatoirement si on
résolvait la fracture Nord Sud.
Je m'interroge sur la situation dramatique de ces
collègues membres du groupe de travail des Nations
Unies sur les mécanismes de financement qui ont
programmé une rencontre à Genève tout frais payés bien
sûr, en marge du sommet sur le FSN pour montrer leur
dynamisme au travail et leur dévouement aux
initiatives contestables.
