Group of Friends of the Chair to be formed soon
Draft working structure published by PrepCom president Karklins

10 September 2004. At the WSIS stocktaking meeting in Geneva on 31
August, PrepCom president Janis Karklins distributed a document on the
composition and working approach of the “Group of the Friends of the
Chair”. This group was decided to be set up by the PrepCom1 in Hammamet
in June. It will draft the political documents to be approved by the
heads of state and government at the summit in November 2005.
Worldsummit2005.org was able to get hold of this paper. We provide it
for the sake of transparency of the process, especially as there will
probably be representatives from civil society and the private sector in
this group.
