In the recent discussion process on Internet governance, stimulated since the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) meeting in Geneva by the creation of the Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG)2, visions of what governance of the network of networks' logical infrastructure3 ought to be kept floating between two polar views: on the one hand, Icannians4 insist that, if there is something which needs to be fixed, it can be done within the current structure, which they like to characterize as private sector based.
