The journal Global Media and Communication has a new issue out which 
is devoted to the theme "From NWICO to WSIS." Importantly, it 
addresses the "amnesia" (often strategic, in my view) in respect to 
the history which would have provided context for the WSIS. The issue 
is volume 1, number 3 (December 2005). There is "free trial online 
access" to this first volume of the journal, so the articles may be
