Yes it works under IE 6.0 . I made a research using "logiciels libres" and
I was able to download a Word document and to have a look on the PDF
version online.
It's funny because the document I found (ref. A/59/558) was about :
"Information and communications technology strategy
Strengthening the Department of Public Information, within the existing
capacity, in order to support and enhance the United Nations web site in
all official languages of the Organization: status of implementation"
Interresting point concerning Open source :
