Dear all
Please find hereafter a very interesting and revealing information : the ICC gets suddenly involved in DC's issues, and what's even stranger, in fixed line voice telephony ! And "urges ITU" to concentrate on that.
But, ICC is a Member of ITU since decades and up to now, I didn't notice such an "urgency" touted by our business "partner" in this UN body.
The explanation becomes obvious and fairly clear when you read the last sentence ! It shows no less clearly that business has nothing in common with philanthropy nor with solidarity.
Long live to the MSP, but under those conditions without me.

ITU urged to concentrate on teledensity
The International Telecoms Union (ITU) has been told by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) to focus more of its efforts on stimulating the growth of fixed line voice telephony in developing countries. The Swiss-led ICC, which represents global business interests, says that the ITU devotes too much of its focus to the technical management of the internet rather than the core issue of teledensity. The ITU has recently announced plans to wrest control of internet administration from the US-based Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
