[WSIS CS-Plenary] World Forum on the Information Society (WFIS)

Dear all,
The Forum also had a meeting parallel to WSIS Geneva Phase. I participated
and emphasized the importance of joining the civil society process. However
my voice does not seem to have been heeded. Since WSIS Geneva I expect that
the focus of this Forum will be changed in November 2005 by the 2004 tsunami
in Southeast Asia, as the convenor is from Sri Lanka.

Likewise the links between the civil society process and the scientific
community (including engineers and National Academies of Science) have been
loosened. There will be a separate event for the scientific community
running prior to and concurrent with WSIS Tunis.
