[WSIS CS-Plenary] Washington DC event to assess WGIG report July 28

On July 18, the UN Secretary-General's Working Group on Internet Governance  (WGIG) will release its long-awaited report. On July 28, IGP and three other  university programs will co-sponsor a symposium in Washington, DC to assess the  final report of the UN Working Group on Internet Governance. 

The event, titled  "Regime Change on the Internet? Internet Governance After WGIG" will review the WGIG report and look towards the future of Internet governance leading up to the WSIS Summit in Tunisia and beyond. The event will be held July 28, 2005 10:30 * 12:30 at Syracuse University's Paul Greenberg House, 2301 Calvert Street, NW, Washington, DC 20008-2644. 

Confirmed Speakers include: Richard Beaird, US State Department; Lesley Cowley, Vice President, Nominet UK; Markus Kummer, Switzerland, WGIG Secretariat and/or Nitin Desai, India, WGIG Chair; Milton Mueller, Syracuse University and Internet Governance Project; business and other civil society representatives TBA.

Event co-sponsors include: The Internet Governance Project; The Quello Center for  Telecommunication Management and Law, Michigan State University; Culture,  Communication and Technology Program, Georgetown University; Internet and Public  Policy Project, Georgia Institute of Technology.
