[WSIS CS-Plenary] Next GFC Meetings

Dear all, 

 

In spite of what was proposed by President Karklins, during the GFC Informal
Consultation (13 June), the WSIS Bureau decided not to invite Civil Society
observers to attend the next GFC meetings (27 June, 4 July and 11 July
2005).

 

These meetings will be open to representatives of GFC Members and observers
from governments ONLY.

 

I just discussed this with Moncef Achour (ITU) who confirmed this decision.

Chers tous, 

 

En dépit de ce qui avait été proposé par l’Ambassadeur Karklins, Président
du PrepCom, au cours de la Consultation Informelle du Groupe des Amis du
Président (13 juin 2005), le Bureau du SMSI a décidé de ne pas inviter les
observateurs de la société civile à assister aux prochaines réunions du GAP
(27 Juin, 4 Juillet et 11 Juillet 2005).

 

Ces réunions ne seront ouvertes qu’aux représentants des Etats Membres du
GAP et aux observateurs gouvernementaux SEULEMENT. 

 

Je viens d’en discuter avec Moncef Achour (UIT) qui a confirmé cette
décision.

A pesar de lo propuesto por el Presidente Karklins, durante la Consulta
Informal del GAP (Junio 13), la Mesa de la CMSI decidió no invitar a la
Sociedad Civil como observador a las siguientes reuniones del GAP (27 Junio,
4 y 11 Julio 2005).

 

Estas juntas estarán abiertas a los representantes de los Estados Miembros
del GAP y a observadores gubernamentales SOLAMENTE:

 

Acabo de hablar con Moncef Achour (UIT) quien ha confirmado esta decisión.
