The Geneva Declaration of Principles from the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) recognizes that the ambitious goal of bridging the digital divide will require strong commitment by all stakeholders at both national and international levels. This Thematic Meeting, formed by the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Korea, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Korea Agency for Digital Opportunity & Promotion (KADO), examines how governments, the private sector, civil society and international organizations can work together to help to bridge the digital divide.
