Microsoft deals enable domination of IPTV
Microsoft has reportedly secured deals with telecoms operators in the US
and Europe which will enable the software giant to dominate the emerging
market for internet protocol television (IPTV). According to The Business,
deals already in place with a jigsaw of operators mean 75% of fixed
telephony lines will use Microsoft software to deliver full broadcast and
on-demand television services.
