Dear Renate,
some times ago I got this e-mail .and applied the same day ,I was expecting at least to let me know if I am accepted ? and if not why?
Hear is the e-mail.
Dear all,
We received a very few days ago, further to a letter we sent to the ITU Director General Mr. Utsumi, the information that around 20 fellowships would be made available for CS participants by the ITU. Please carefully read the following information.
The ITU / WSIS Executive Secretariat made it clear that priority will be given by the ITU / WSIS ES to applicants with prior involvement in WSIS related events and especially with involvement in the structure of civil society (focal points of family/ and caucus heads) duly taking into account regional repartition (in general five to each region). Applicants should be from developing countries and have no funding from any other institution so far.
In the meantime we have already contacted directly regional CS family and Caucus focal points and CSB members. We have received so far only 5 applications for a fellowship from civil society participants. That is why we now contact you to inform about the application procedure.
You will find enclosed the application form, which should be duly completed, clearly signed and with the official stamp of the Civil Society accredited organization under which the applicant is accredited. You should sent this completed application form directly to us (wsis at ngocongo.org or by fax +41 22 301 2000).
The list of candidates should be submitted to the WSIS ES by Monday 24 October 2005, so that the deadline for the reception of your application is no later than 23 October 2005.
We really regret the very very short deadline, but this is the consequence of the very recent notice of the ITU decision.
Best regards, and do not hesitate to come back to me for any further information.
