Dear all,

Referring to the message from Charles Geiger that Renate sent out earlier, I
have here a few additional remarks that are trying to clarify some of the
issues that seem to raise most questions at the moment. A more detailed
"Information for Civil Society participants" will follow tomorrow.

Badging:

Note that you will receive your Summit badge at the Registration Centre near
to the airport, not at the Kram Centre.

Resumed PrepCom-3

The Summit badge will also allow you to participate in the resumed
PrepCom-3, but due to the limited size of the room only around 35 seats are
reserved for observers from civil society in the meetings that we are
allowed to attend (Plenary and Sub-Committee meetings). As Charles Geiger
wrote, there will very probably be an audio-broadcast over the Internet.
This would make it possible also to follow the meetings from the CS Space.

Time Management Plan for the resumed PrepCom-3 is online at
http://www.itu.int/wsis/documents/doc_multi.asp?lang=en
<http://www.itu.int/wsis/documents/doc_multi.asp?lang=en&id=2226|0>
&id=2226|0.

Summit overpasses:

In addition to the Summit badge that allows you to enter the Summit
perimeter, special overpasses are required to enter the High Level Panel and
at certain times Plenary meetings. Note that Plenary passes will only be
checked at times where more people wish to participate in the meeting than
the size of the Plenary room allows. This means that they most probably only
will be relevant for the opening ceremony at the first day of the Summit.
You can find information on how to request a Summit overpass at
http://www.csbureau.org/passes.htm where we have compiled the information
regarding overpasses. Please note that today is the last chance to request
an overpass through the central electronic registration system at
<https://secure.privaterra.org/wsis> https://secure.privaterra.org/wsis.

Parallel events:

As Charles Geiger wrote there will be microphones and loudspeakers in all
parallel event rooms. In addition to this, he explained at our meeting with
the WSIS ES yesterday that each room will have a technician. This technician
can be asked if any equipment is missing. Please find information about
distribution of documents in Geiger's message.

Best regards,

Jette Madsen
