[WSIS CS-Plenary] Consultation meeting on WSIS Action Line C8

Please find below a communication we just received from UNESCO, about the
up-coming meeting on Action Line C-8. UNESCO is looking for a broader
outreach towards all actors interested in implementation activities related
to this action line.

Dear WSIS civil society stakeholders,

 

UNESCO is organizing a consultation on WSIS Action Line C8 “Cultural
Diversity and Identity, Linguistic Diversity and Local Content” 12 May, in
the UN Palais des Nations, Room XX from 10:00 to 18:00.

 

The aim of the meeting will be to discuss the WSIS multi-stakeholder
implementation process in the field of cultural diversity and identity,
linguistic diversity and local content. The relevant information on this

In advanced to the meeting, we would like to identify the key actors working
actively in the field of cultural diversity and identity, linguistic
diversity and local content. In order to implement the truly WSIS follow-up,
it is important to include all these key actors with in the
Multi-stakeholder team on the Action Line C8. 

 

Accordingly, could you kindly provide the name and contact of your caucus’s
and WG’s member entities? Furthermore, since I believe that you are experts
in this field, please provide us also the key actors which are not in the
part of your Caucus or WG.
