RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES
Dr. Malik Sardar Khan has devoted a great part of his life to the causes of
Islam and peace as evidenced by his many memberships in Islamic and
interfaith organizations. He has founded three Islamic organizations and
co-founded or taken an active role in the founding of several others ranging
from local to international in scope.
Dr. Khan's greatest interest has been the establishment of mosques in the
United States. Besides playing a major role in the establishment of mosques
in Atlanta, Georgia, Melbourne, Florida, Brunswick, New Jersey, Pompano,
Florida, and elsewhere in the United States, he has selflessly devoted
countless hours of service to The Muslim Center, Inc. (the Muslim students'
organization at the University of Miami) and Muslim Communities Association
of South Florida, of which he is past president and which he continues to
serve in a consulting role. Dr. Khan regularly performs Islamic marriages
and marriage counseling.
Dr. Khan is a Muslim scholar, learned liberal, influential peace
coordinator, and community leader in the United States. He is a patient man
who accommodates to the sufferings of Muslims and non-Muslims. He is an
internationally known and highly respected individual who has taken part as
a Muslim in dialogues with non-Muslims.
Dr. Khan has broad-based experience and participates in a wide variety of
events that are to his interest. He performed Hajj in 2003 (1423 H.) and has
performed numerous `umras.
