*Dear friends and partners,*
We are pleased to inform you about the second consultation meeting of
the WSIS Action Line?C7 “E-learning”, which will be held in Geneva on
the 23rd of May 2007 from 15:00 to 18:00. You will receive an invitation
by UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information
soon.
This meeting will follow the meeting you attended on 18 October 2006
held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, in the framework of the follow-up
to the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society.
As the official facilitator for the Action Line C7 “E-learning”, UNESCO
is currently working on the creation of an easy-access online interface
that will facilitate a constant dialogue between our different
partners. You will all be able to use this interface as a permanent
tool for consultation and interaction. This tool will allow us to
discuss, organize common initiatives, share experiences and monitor the
work carried out in the framework of our line of action.
The meeting scheduled for the 23 May 2007 has two main objectives.
Firstly, we hope to discuss ways in which this interface will be used
and how we can organize our teamwork in concrete terms. We will then
spend part of the meeting presenting concrete projects and initiatives
carried out in the framework of our line of action.
In order to stimulate the discussions and have a clearer idea of your
different viewpoints prior to the meeting of 23 May, we suggest you to
reply to two questions on our forum which is already up and running at:

Further elaborate the seven E-learning subtopics as well as who should
be in charge of leading the discussion on each subtopic.
Do you have a project to discuss during the second half of the meeting?
(The projects are subject to certain criteria which will be explained in
the discussion forum)
As the UNESCO focal point for the Action Line C7 “E-learning”, we will
be happy to answer any queries you may have and provide you with further
information.

J’ai le plaisir de vous informer que le 23 mai 2007, à Genève, de 15h à
18h , nous convoquons la deuxième réunion de consultation consacrée à la
Ligne d’action C7 “Télé-enseignement”. Vous allez recevoir une
invitation du Sous-Directeur général pour la Communication et
l'information prochainement.
Cette réunion suit celle tenue à Paris le 18 octobre 2006, dans le cadre
du suivi de l’Agenda de Tunis pour la Société d’information, à laquelle
vous aviez été une centaine à participer.
En tant que facilitateur officiel pour la Ligne d’action C7,
“Télé-enseignement”, l’UNESCO travaille actuellement à la création d’une
interface en ligne, simple d’accès, qui – en facilitant le dialogue
permanent entre les partenaires – constituera un outil de consultation
et d’interaction permanent à la disposition de vous tous. Cet outil
permettra en effet de dialoguer, d’organiser des initiatives communes,
de collecter des expériences et d’assurer le suivi du travail effectué
dans le cadre de notre ligne d’action.
La réunion du 23 mai aura deux objectifs principaux. Nous chercherons
premièrement à discuter des modalités d’utilisation de cette interface,
et donc de la manière concrète d’organiser le travail du groupe. Nous
accorderons par la suite une certaine période de la rencontre à la
présentation de projets et initiatives concrètes réalisés dans le cadre
de notre ligne d’action.
Les questions et sujets sur lesquels vous serez appelés à vous exprimer
seront les suivants :
Approfondir la discussion au sujet des sept sous-titres du
Télé-enseignement et déterminer et choisir les personnes chargées de
mener le débat sur ces sujets.
Avez-vous un projet à proposer pour la période réservée à cette fin lors
de la réunion ? (Les projets devront répondre à certain critères qui
seront expliqués dans le forum de discussion prévu à cet effet)
Afin d’entamer le dialogue et d’arriver à la réunion du 23 mai avec des
idées déjà consolidées, je vous suggère de répondre à ces questions à
