Dear Colleagues and Partners,

Further to my e-mail of 21 March last (copy below), I should like to inform
you that at this stage not a single response has been received by the
Secretariat of UNESCO with respect to the required brief presentation of
your activities for implementing the C 10 Action Line and of your proposals
for pilot projects in this field.

The deadline for the submission of your reports and ideas for future
collaboration was 1 May 2007.

I therefore kindly request you take into consideration the importance of the
active participation of all stakeholders in this follow-up process and would
highly appreciate your response accordingly and as soon as possible in order
to prepare our next meeting on 25/5 in the light of your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you and to meeting you in Geneva,

With my best regards

Boyan Radoykov

Dear Colleagues and Partners,

Further to your very much appreciated participation in and contribution to
the first facilitation meeting on WSIS Action Line C10 "Ethical Dimensions
of the Information Society" at UNESCO Headquarters on 17 October 2006, I am
pleased to inform you that we are now planning a second facilitation meeting
on this Action Line, which will take place in Geneva on 25 May 2007 p.m.
(for three hours).

The provisional agenda of the events in May 2007 relating to the WSIS
implementation process could be consulted at:

http://www.itu.int/wsis/implementation/cluster.asp?year=2007&month=0&type='a
lf'&subtype=0

For the purpose of preparing this meeting accordingly, we should appreciate
receiving from you a brief presentation on any activities related to Action
Line C10 undertaken by your organization since our last meeting in October
20056. Your report, together with your possible suggestions for pilot
projects to be implemented as a concrete follow-up to the WSIS
recommendations in this field, should reach UNESCO by 1 May 2007.

As the official facilitator for the C10 Action Line, UNESCO is currently
working on the creation of an easy-access online interface that will
facilitate a constant dialogue between our different partners. You will all
be able to use this interface as a permanent tool for consultation and
interaction. This tool, which, we hope, will be available shortly after the
meeting in Geneva, will allow all of us discussing, organizing common
initiatives, sharing experiences and monitoring the work carried out in the
framework of the C10 Action Line.

Please note that the meeting in Geneva on 25 May has two main objectives.
First, we hope to discuss ways in which this interface will be used and how
we can organize our teamwork in concrete terms. We could then spend part of
the meeting presenting concrete projects carried out in the framework of our
line of action and discussing new initiatives.

In order to stimulate the discussions prior to the meeting of 24 May, I
suggest you using the forum where you could submit and discuss projects to
be presented and subject to be discussed during the meeting:

http://www.unesco.org/cgi-bin/webworld/portalsforum/gforum.cgi?forum=17

Please do not forget to sign in at the following address to participate in
the discussion:

An official registration website will also be online soon and communicated
to you in due course where you will be able to register to this second
facilitation meeting on C10 in Geneva and the four other meetings (C3 Open
Access – C7 E-Learning – C8 Culture - C9 Media) to be held by UNESCO between
23 May and 25 May.

I should also like to remind you that the prepared report of our first
meeting is available online at:

ON=201.html

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Yours sincerely,

B. Radoykov
