Greetings from Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication(BNNRC).
You are informed that September 28 is the International Right to Know Day.
In recognition of the international right to know day In Bangladesh the day
will be observed with full attention. Different NGOs/CSOs celebrate the
day through different programs. I am mentioning here some programs:
Organizer: Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and
Communication (BNNRC) D.Net, MMC, Manusher Jonno Foundation and TIB-Bangladesh.
Theme: Right to Information, ensure the good Governance
Date: September 26, 2007
Event: National Press Conference, Dhaka
Description: Above mentioned 6 organizers will arrange a press conference
at National Press Club, Dhaka.
Organizer: Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and
Communication (BNNRC), D.Net, MMC, Manusher Jonno Foundation and TIB-
Bangladesh.
Date: September 27, 2007
Event: Round Table Discussion
Theme: Right to Information, ensure the good Governance
Description: A Round Table will be organized by 6 organizers on September
27 in observing the World Right to Know Day, 2007. Lt. General (Retd.)
Hasan Moshhud Chowdhury, Chairman, Anti-Corruption Commission(ACC),
Peoples Republic of Bangladesh will be the Chief Guest and Advocate
Sultana Kamal, Ex-Adviser of the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh will
present as Special Guest. The Round Table Discussion will be presided over
by Prof. Mozaffar Ahmed, .Chairman Board of Trustee of TIB - Bangladesh.
This 6 organizers have already develop poster, leaflet, T-shart and stiker
on International Right to Know Day 2007.
Organizer: Campaign on Citizens Right to Information (3-day Program)
Date: September 27, 2007
Event: Round Table Meeting
Subject: Right to Information in establishing Democracy and Rule of Law.
Description: A Round Table Meeting will be organized by the Campaign on
Citizens Right to Information. The 3-day program will be inaugurated by
Dr. Khan Sarwar Murshid, famous educationist of Bangladesh.
Subject: Development and Investment Agreement: Right to Information, Right
to Information towards Transparency and Accountability and Anti- Corruption.
Organizer: MMC in collaboration with BNNRC and 18 CSOs/NGOs
Subject: Citizens charter and Right to Information, Risk of Climate Change
and Right to Information, The Proposed Right to Information Law in
international perspective
Womens Access to Information: Role of women Journalists, Public Right to
Government Information: Strategy of bridging, Importance of National
Broadcasting Commission in Bangladesh.
