Planning Workshop for Youth Radio Program in Bangladesh

A daylong planning workshop titled, "Planning Workshop for Youth Radio Program" organized by Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) in 1st July 2010 at BNNRC conference room. The event was supported by British Council- Bangladesh and Equal Access- Nepal. 



Ms Eeshita Azad, Project Manager, Arts and Skills, British Council - Bangladesh told about the youth employability initiatives of British Council around the globe. Technical Instructor of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute Mr. Jahid Hasan presented the aspect of technical education in Bangladesh. Mr. Abdul Haque, Director in Charge, Population, Health and Nutrition Planning Cell, Bangladesh Betar (National Radio) was enlightened the participants about the radio production method. 

 

Facilitator of the workshop Mr. Faroha Suhrawardy helped the participants for contributing in programme planning for youth radio production. Among 16 participants there were student both male and female from technical and general education institutes took part in programme planning. Zahid Haque Khan from BNNRC assisted the facilitator to coordinate the workshop.

 

BNNRC will produce eight episode radio programmes for youth development with Equal Access partnership, and broadcast those in National and Private FM radio stations in Bangladesh. Part of this agreement, the planning workshop conducted for ensuring participatory programme production.
