Dear all,

A very warm greetings from Lahore in Pakistan. I am very happy to be
part of this DC and would love to share my contributions!

In the past I have been part of a small cyber library project at the
University of the Punjab College of IT http://www.pucit.edu.pk. I have
also been part of the OER UNESCO working group but was not able to
participate as actively as I have been involved in delivering capacity
building across the world in A2K, Open ICT Ecosystems, Open Standards,
FOSS, knowledge apps, etc..

I have had this small interest in building digital libraries and
making them accessible all across Pakistan through tablets and mesh
networking so that we can get e-libraries to the 66% percent of the
population here. This will help make the larger population aware of
the greater potential that the people can find outside of the shell of
conflict. Education will change Pakistan and not simply aid!!!

There is alot to work on within the context of IGF and I look forward
to sharing with you. You may want to make a workshop proposal as well
as DC meeting request so that the MAG can look at it during the May
2012 IGF Open Consultations and MAG Meetings.

I hope to see some workshop proposals in the content of Internet
Governance for Development IG4D as well!

Regards.
