[WSIS CS-Plenary] Translation Issues

hi everyone

a very brief response to the last few postings as far as i'm able to understand

maria - i *think* you thank various efforts to voluntarily translate (some) 
postings in this PLENARY list into spanish but note that the lack of 
translation services from the WSIS secretariat is of great concern and a 
source of great frustration for spanish speaking participants (for example, 
with respect the current declaration - which i think is still only 
available in english)

sonia and alcimar echoe your concerns and also raise the issue of 
portuguese speaking participants?

one of the coordination elements proposed is to form a translation team 
which could work with the WSIS translation voluntary services (ICV and 
netaid of UNV) to improve some aspects of communication (online and 
on-site). This could certainly improve the situation - but would result 
from our own voluntary efforts.

Identifying translation issues for the official process is something we 
could follow up on.

(english) message i posted re "Proposal for Coordination"
