here is the cost related to the "value cards" to use Wireless.

Good morning,

We do have some value cards available for sale in the Main lobby, close
to the Brasserie, i.e. in the ICT4D area.

They cost CHF 9.- for 30 minutes, 19.- for two hours, 48.- for 24 hours
and 198.- for seven days.

Kind regards,

Michel

Dear Robert,
Thank you for your email. The information for participants document
prepared by the ITU clearly states that a PWLAN will be available and
that only one 2 hour free access pass will be provided. No other free
access is foreseen.

Best regards

Richard Torriani

Subject: Wireless Access at Palexpo/WSIS - Please advise

Dear Mr. Toririani:

Charles Geiger from the executive secretarait of the world summit on the
information Society (WSIS) suggested I get in touch with you in regards
to Wireless (WiFi) access available at PalExpo.

Specifically, what areas of PalExpo will have WiFi access, and what cost
(if any) the infrastructure costs to use.

The civil society organizations who have participated in the WSIS
process to-date are under the assumption that free access will be
provided at PalExpo for the summit.

The 2 hour Swisscom voucher in the registration materials seems to
indicate that in fact WiFi access is not free - but instead very costly
for civil society organizations.

The move from free to paid wireless conenctivity would be a departure
from precidence which would greatly hinder and impede the ability of
civil society to effectively communicate and play the key role which
they have been given as part of one of the summit "partners"

I thus ask for clearification on the following items:

1. Will Wireless (Wifi) access be provided at the PalExpo summit site.
If so, what type, and what cost if any is required to utilize it.

2. If WiFi access is in fact availoable at a cost, please advise as to
which Civil Society representatives were notified of significant policy
change.

3. Can internet which is being provided to exhibitors be shared?

4. Does Swisscom have an exclusivity agreement to provide the confernce
site with Wifi?

I look forward to your reply.
