[WSIS CS-Plenary] Opening ceremony speaker

Hi all,

The choice of a speaker for the opening ceremony is perhaps more a symbolic issue than a matter of content (as it is mostly a kind of modern ritual)

It could be of use to define some basic criterias to designate her/him.
 
As for AMINATA TRAORE, she is 
- a WOOMAN 
- from AFRICA (Mali)
- with a VERY HIGH PROFILE 
- fully QUALIFIED 
- and very CHARISMATIC (She would undoubtly deliver a STRONG MESSAGE. For exemple, just have a look at her article in relation to the WSIS Bamako Regional African Prepcom at this adress : http://www.csdptt.org/doc_csdptt106.html)

As a matter of fact - and as other people have already suggested on this list -, I can't see a better choice than AMINATA TRAORE.

And I'm sure Richard Stallman - with all the merits attributed to him - would share this point of view ;-)
