---------Sorry to have forgotten a recent example at the United Nations before the Financing for development High-Level Segment.

In a preliminary briefing, a delegate from a Member State in Easter Europe inadvertently referred to "anyone who participates."

The representative from the Office of the President of the General Assembly almost scolded the delegate by saying "It's not just anyone who can participate in the High-level Segment."

So I think that proposers may have to provide some information about the position the proposed civil society participant holds.

The Secretariat should be able to verify this, I would think.
