To the CS Plenary
I definitely oppose to either youth "show" at the Summit : the Girl and Boy
one as well as the Youth caucus one. CS hasn't to enter in these ITU
Telecom's type exhibitions for delivering its message. This is too serious !
Remember specially these people in DCs we are supposed to give some hope for
their near future : most of them still have to spend hours walking when they
want to make a call to their close relatives or to a doctor. How down will
fall CS when some of them lose the basics of commitment with our members
and peoples, preferring self-promotion and limelights.
Anyway, we, the NGOs engaged in common actions with and in the South, have
nothing in common with such kind of behaviour and people and therefore we
strongly adress the CS Plenary to come back to the reality and to exhibit
more solidarity. Both the peoples in DCs and the poorest in our own
countries in the North deserve at least our respect. Hence the best
messenger for the CS to speak at the opening session should be one of their
representative(s).
Best regards
