dear all
Some of you are probably aware that the registration process for the
summit, and applications for fellowships are now available. I don't believe
there has been any official communication from the Civil Society Division
but as there is a cut off point of October 25th for grant applications,
thought i would share with you what i know - now.
Registration
============
Registration for the summit will be done via a password protected online
form. Each accredited organisation has to nominate a 'designated focal
point'. Some people may have done this during prepcom III, but if you
haven't, you need to attend to this soon.
General information about online registration is here:
http://www.itu.int/wsis/geneva/registration/index.html
The application form for registering a designated focal point is here:
http://www.itu.int/wsis/docs/geneva/focal_point/focal_cs.doc
Once you have submitted the form, the designated focal point will receive a
username, password and link to a customised form for online registration.
The designated focal point is responsible for registering **all** delegates
online.
Grant applications
==================
Applications for fellowships are now open. You MUST register (as per the
above), and be in receipt of your acknowledegment, **before** you can apply
for a fellowship.
Applications for grants must be received by ** October 25th**
guidelines: http://www.geneva2003.org/wsis/documents/fellowship_guideline01.doc
application form: http://geneva2003.unige.ch/bourse/registration.php
CS Bureau work on the grant application process
===============================================
For those of you who were in geneva you may recall in one of the final
plenaries, amir briefed us on revised criteria and the timeline of the
grant application process. There have been some developments since then (in
terms of a revision of that process) but i would ask members of the Bureau
to update the list on that issue.
