2004, Shanghai

WEC2004, sponsored by World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO)
and UNESCO, will be held in Shanghai, November 2-6, 2004. It will be jointly
organized by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), Chinese
Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Shanghai Municipal Government. With the
theme of " Engineers Shape the Sustainable Future", the convention is
designed to provide a platform for engineers, entrepreneurs and engineering
students to interact and discuss issues and problems related with future of
engineering profession. The program of WEC2004 includes: 

·         Plenary session         <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns =
"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

·         Seven parallel sessions        

·         Project Show for Future Engineers

·         Video Show of Great Engineering Project from All Nations

·         Virtual forums

·         Technical visits

·         Exhibition on Engineering in collaboration with the Shanghai
International Industry Fair 

·         Cultural activities including performance, acrobatic show,
sightseeing in Shanghai and pre- and post-conference tours in scenic and
historic sites in China
