Dear All,

Please lets try to make a true example of "access for all".

I ask all of you ( and some of you know of and are connected to funding sources ) to post funding opportunities for Demand 5 - Action Plan to this list so that CS groups around the world have the open opportunity to participate at WSIS.

This will be the real power of Phase II, creating real connectivity to the CS plenary - enabling freedom of expression and true access to all.

CS members of the world lets pull together and be a true "informed society" and share with our CS members sources of funding that will enable us to be the first conference to have a true, instantaneous grass roots connection.

Those of you with language capabilities - please take on a couple of weeks of translation duties of CS plenary email each - not onerous for any one individual ?

Amali

Amali, and all,
I would like to find a support to civile society in
Niger as example of what we can do for poor
populations women, and younth in a poor country.
I propose to mobilize ressources for getting 10 PC and
two years of access to internet by satellite (AFRIPAT)
or by telecom operator (specialized line)
We can create an free access to internet to
communicate with the world about the Tunis Summit
access open free to associations and women youngs and
person interested by the debate.
This access could be set in a younth communatary
radiobroascasting located near Niamey the Capitale of
Niger. there is no salary and managers there are very
competent and devoted to rurale and communautary
access to information and communication...
The budget of this project could be about 30.000 US $
for 2 years to cover 2004 and 2005.
If you see any possibility different from classical
approach of UNDP, WB and bilatéral cooperation we can
do together thinds quickly.
If this project will be performant, we couls duplicate
it in other countries like Tchad, Burkina Faso, or
Mali
Best regards
Djilali
Djilali
