[WSIS CS-Plenary] RE: Call for silence

I am sorry that my comment - or rather 'point of order' - is taken to mean
self-censorship. What I need to say is that this forum has a function,
i.e. to prepare for the next WSIS in Tunisia 2005. We cannot change Tunis
- neither as the place for the WSIS nor its governance. If we are
concerned by human rights, we should know and appreciate that:
1. Change does not come from the outside.
2. There are other forums more suitable for these discussions.

Let us concentrate this forum on what it is meant to do and do not waste
our time and efforts on useless discussions.

If human rights are an issue for this forum it is as much as the freedom
to access to information, which hopefully we can foster.

I hate censorship as much as I hate anarchy. If any one have visited the
sites listed below, they will know better than to accuse me of censorship.

Again, all I am saying is let us concentrate this forum on discussions
related to the WSIS and preparing NGOs without undue distractions. If
issues of freedom are to be raised, they must come in a general
recommendation (affecting may be all developing countries) and not as one
targeted to our host. Does that make any sense?

Sincerely,
