Por qué no?

I would like to add a comment to this interesting conversation. It is
true that not everyone is using free software, but it is also true that
not everyone is using propietary software (and i've seen a lot of
documents in propietary format in this and other lists of wsis) , so,
let's agree on which formats we are using and let's use only open
formats accesible for all (that doen't include .doc of course!!!). It
is a mather of coherence with our own CS declaration, We promote free
software in our declaration, but in fact, how many of us really
understand and use free software?
Entonces,
acordemos que formatos usamos y usemos sólo formatos accesibles a
tod at s.
nosotros realmente entienden y usan software libre?

Again i am agree with Chris. If the argument is that in some parts of
the world the bandwidth is so small to download OOO, let's find the way
to bring them CD copies.
If access to OOO is so difficult, how could it be possible to access to
MS Office??? is that easier??? For sure not!
As i know, OOO is easy to get, easy to download, easy to use, and easy
to share with other people, as free software. Much easier than MS
Office, for sure.
Thank you chris for putting this issue under consideration!
Saludos
Beatriz
