3) A number of people in this list does not use Windows (including
   myself), therefore a Windows-only solution would be unacceptable.

1) Si lo que se precisa es diseminar una señal de audio, recomiendo
   icecast (http://www.icecast.org/). Hasta podríamos lograr convencer
   a alguno de los servidores/radios comunitarios de tomar nuestra
   señal y difundirla (y el encuentro sería realmente público y
   abierto, como esperamos que sea). Muchos clientes de origen 
   pueden apuntar a un servidor, pero necesitaremos alguna 
   coordinacion fuera de banda (lo que puede hacerse con IRC o
   jabber)
2) Sin embargo, para lidiar con la disparidad de facilidades de
   acceso disponibles para los miembros de esta lista y otros
   participantes, sugiero usar el llano, viejo, simple y confiable
   IRC. Toda la infraestructura necesaria ya esta alli; basta con
