hi djilali

i'll certainly add the info about the finance list to the wsis-cs.org
caucuses website.. but it might have to wait til i'm back in london next
week - hope that's ok..

to all who sent messages of congratulations for the Anita Borg Award - many
thanks - it's a wonderful accolade and recognition from peers of the work
of our network..

i was interested to see that some people didn't know anything about the
work of the APC Womens networking support programme (www.apcwomen.org).

APCWNSP was very active in WSIS I (and continues to be so) through the NGO
gender strategies working group (NGO GSWG www.genderit.org) and the WSIS
Gender caucus (www.genderwsis.org).

The work of the NGO GSWG was probably best known for the t-shirt campaign
during WSIS I..

T-shirt campaign grabs attention of governments where documents have failed

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay, 09/18/2003 -- The NGO Gender Strategies Working Group
launched a WSIS t-shirt campaign yesterday which had government delegates
craning their necks to read a message that until now had fallen upon deaf
ears. The t-shirts, which contained the message "WSIS has a missing
paragraph" (on the front) and the text of paragraph 11A (on the back) were
worn by a number of non governmental delegates. Later in the day, some
government representatives approached the delegates to buy their own
t-shirts to wear during the PrepCom.
